Our two bocce ball courts have been complete for a few months now, but since the amenity has been so popular, especially during the cooler hours of the evening, we added some café lights around the courts, allowing our residents to play after that Texas sun sets. And, while most residents BYO-chair, we’ve added some benches to allow for additional spectator seating.
For those who enjoy bocce on a more social level and have no idea how the game is actually played (a category ‘yours truly’ fits into), we are having a Bocce 101 event for our residents! Next Wednesday, September 16th, from 5:30-7:30pm, our residents can get a formal lesson from the Frisco Lakes Bocce League pros and grab a slice of pie from the Bellatrino Pizza Oven Truck. And, since the sport was made to have one hand free to hold a drink, we are serving up cold Peroni beers, Pinot Grigio and Italian Sodas.
The courts are located next to the playground by the fitness center within the central Barn Yard amenity center and bocce balls sets are available in the Information Center!
