On May 27, representatives from Republic Property Group, Prosper ISD and The City of Celina came together to break ground on our new onsite elementary school! Republic Property Group donated the 11 acre site to Prosper ISD back in (enter date here), and just recently donated $2 million dollars to help speed up the process. This partnership is extremely exciting for our current and future Light Farms residents, and is an important first step in the process of creating onsite, walkable neighborhood schools within the community!
“The addition of the elementary school really ties everything together to help provide the feeling of community,” said Co-President Tony Ruggeri. “Having an elementary school inside the project is really a game changer for all the residents and the community as a whole. As we develop these master planned communities, we put a really high priority on education and our residents do as well. For them to have the ability to walk or ride their bikes to school is a very clear benefit.”
We can’t wait to see our Light Farms Littles walk and bike to school!
