There’s a New Builder On the Block

We are thrilled to announce that our community will soon feature the first homes in the U.S. built by Tradition Homes. The North Texas-based homebuilder recently launched this year by celebrated homebuilder Bill Darling in partnership with his son-in-law, Zach Schneider.

We Don’t Always Talk About Our Developer

But when we do, there’s a story behind it! Whereas Tradition Homes is fairly new to the industry, Light Farms’ ties to the company go far back. The newly found partnership is a homecoming of sorts for Darling. Coincidentally they launched Darling Homes back in ‘87 at Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney. And if you didn’t know we share the same developer as Stonebridge Ranch, now you do – and it put Republic Property Group on the map! “Tradition Homes will build on the heritage our family has established in Texas and deliver the same innovation, quality and world-class service that has been synonymous with the Darling family name,” said Zach Schneider, President and CEO at Tradition Homes. “Light Farms has first-class amenities which attract distinctive homebuyers. It’s with great honor that we launch the Tradition Homes brand in Light Farms and continue our 35-year partnership with Republic Property Group.”

Located in our Hawthorne Neighborhood

Houses from Tradition Homes will be set on 60-foot lots and range from 2,500 to 4,200 square-feet. Tradition Homes will initially offer five floor plans at Light Farms, in multiple architectural styles. Tradition Homes model home breaks ground in August 2019 and will be built in a Transitional style with painted brick. Prices for Tradition Homes will start in the high $400s.
