Wash Day: Our Spring Exhibit From The Collin County Farm Museum!

A cornerstone of Light Farms is its dedication to the rich history and culture of Celina.  We’ve teamed up with the Collin County Farm Museum, who shares our passion and commitment in rural heritage, to welcome freestanding traveling exhibits! Every quarter, we receive an exciting new themed exhibit to share with the residents of our community. This quarter, we are featuring “Wash Day” which gives a snapshot of a day in the life of our ancestors by displaying post-1700s tools used in doing laundry on the farm. Also featured is one of the first electric washing machines, a Maytag, from the 1930s! So swing by our Information Center, learn more about Celina’s rich cultural heritage and see some cool pieces of history straight out of our community from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries!
