Produce shares are harvested every Wednesday (which is when the week’s box contents are released on their website) and delivered to the Light Farms Information Center that Saturday morning! (This quick farm-to-family turnaround helps retain nutritional value, whereas grocery stores can keep produce in cold storage for weeks or even months sometimes.) *Remember: the cutoff for signup is every MONDAY AT 12PM before that Saturday’s delivery, so head to JBG’s website and sign up NOW to get your share on Saturday, July 4th! (But please note, the Information Center will be closed that day, so the boxes will be left just outside the front door, under the covered patio.)
*Please bring your reusable shopping bag, empty the contents of your box and break down your box… JBG reuses the boxes! Also, we cannot keep the produce boxes past the pickup time (8-11am). Shares that are not picked up by noon will be donated to a local food bank. If you can’t grab your share please make arrangements with a friend or neighbor who can grab it for you!
