Christmas at The Star
The Star is the 91-acre campus of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters and practice facility in Frisco, Texas, and is only 15 miles from Light Farms. The Star lets visitors connect with the Dallas Cowboys hosting all kinds of unique and exciting events. Starting Nov.22 – Dec. 21, Christmas at the Star will welcome families for an incredible lineup of holiday entertainment, including the lighting of the 67-foot Christmas tree, guest appearances from players, performances by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, visits with Santa and so much more. If you’re looking for unique, one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts, don’t miss Market at the Star X Fleastyle on Saturday, Dec. 7. This outdoor market features a curated mix of fashion, jewelry, home decor and lifestyle products, with 80+ vendors in the Star’s Entertainment District.
Celina Historic Downtown Square
Hosting events year round, Celina Downtown Square and the Main Street District offer dining, shopping, professional services and green space all in walking distance to the Pavillion on the Square. Dec. 4th at 5pm is Christmas on the Square. There will be a Christmas train ride, inflatable slide, bounce house, live reindeer display and hayride. Don’t forget to snap a selfie with Santa! Shop the Holiday Market, grab some hot cocoa and attend the tree lighting with live music and performances all in the cozy comfort your hometown.
Historic Downtown Mckinney
This Thanksgiving will mark the 39th year for Home for the Holidays a Christmas festival in historic downtown Mckinney. Nov. 29 – Dec. 1, shop the 14-block area of the 165-year-old commercial and historic downtown and enjoy family activities like a visit with Santa, ice skating and petting zoo, food from local favorites and entertainment featuring live Christmas music.
Prosper Christmas Festival
The annual Prosper Christmas Festival moves back to downtown Prosper this year. This year’s Prosper Christmas Festival will have extended hours, taking place from 3-7pm. Here you can visit with talented artisans, catch a live demonstration, enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride, and stop in to the Kids Christmas Shoppe! The Shoppe gives children the opportunity to shop for and purchase moderately priced gifts (cash only, please) for parents and siblings in a secure environment. Proceeds benefit the Parks and Recreation Department Scholarship Fund. (Insider tip – stay for the Community Tree Lighting and fireworks under the stars at 7pm)
